i will.
think i'm going to try something diff. going to program a basic drum beat and record some synth playing while the beat loops.
i can make some really pretty sounds. i was trying the more noisy experimental approach because my fiancee said "everything sounds so happy and beautiful"
i guess she thought it was odd that i would play pretty stuff since 90% of what i listen to is dark, harsh, chaotic and violently noisy.
i haven't actually sat down and tried to make anything specific.. i usually just start with something.. anything.. and go from there
i like the free form exploration. no rules, no limits, just me learning the gear and continuously recreating and refining my own processes.
i really love sound design. song structure has now gotten it's grasp on me too.. so i plan on to continue my exploration into sound design, actual playing of keys, and song structure/sequencing.
i like participating in threads like "tips for ambient pads" but sometimes i think my prolific use of regurgitated information mixed with my own experience makes me appear more skillful than i actually am.
i'm just a noob, but i hunger for all things sound and especially synth. i do think i'm progressing fast but thats just because of all the excellent resources i've found on the internet including members of this board and the fact that I devote a minimum of 2 hours a day to playing but it is usually much more than that... to the point of distracting from my other responsibilities.
and on that note.. i've got a bass patch to make more angry sounding
