Ahh man, this fucking blows. Ah well, cool to see those unreleased demos up on the site! Looking forward to hearing whatever Ian does next :)

after not releasing anything in what like 6-7 years?, shouldn't be that big of a shock, however people on facebook seem to think so
I wasn't 'shocked' per se, but I still loved the project and was hoping that one day Ian would get around to releasing the stuff in his own time.
panzerschreck = cunty mctwat
At least it stopped before the project became a parody of itself
"panzerschreck = cunty mctwat "
im not a cunty mctwat :-(
hah ;] well, I said that because, there was kind of a big deal about a new album for a couple of reasons. mainly cause it had been so long, and the new songs on compilations over the past few years hinted strongly at a new album underway.
the news was bittersweet, but I respect the decision. looking forward to whatever new music he decides to make in the future. maybe it will lean towards movie score/in the nursery style stuff, that would be cool.
last time i noticed Flesh Field is almost 6-7 years ago. I was surprized they to read that here anyways.
ahh thats fucked. I love Fleshfield and I don't know quite why anyone would think they were in danger of becoming a parody of themselves. Some of the most diverse industrial I've heard, whilst still having balls and rocking out.
YOU SHALL BE MISSED!
Fuck! I was looking forward to "Tyranny of the Majority"...gggrr
I really like Flesh Field, so I'm disappointed by this news. I was hoping to get a new album by them sometime soon, but I guess that's not going to happen now.
You can read my reviews for their albums here:
That's to bad. It's always a huge lose when one of the bands that actually tried to do something different stop.
Very cool of them to offer all their back catalog for free.
the backcatalogue has been available for a year now.

Just as well, Flesh Field is nothing without Rian Miller. :-|
@Undercult
If you read the article you'll see he says himself he was not satisfied with the new music he was trying to write.
After listening to the new, unmastered material that was going to be released under Tyranny of the Majority, I really like it. Of coarse, FF can only determine if it is not a "significant progression or improvement" over past material, but it sounded like good ol' FF to me and that's what I like about it.
I didn't need a progression from the last Flesh Field album, I just wanted more Flesh Field. I'm sure that's all that most fans of the band wanted. It's too bad that Tyranny of the Majority won't be finished, because I'm sure that it would have been really good.
The site has been updated with mastered versions of the instrumental tracks (courtesy of Nathaniel of Pheromone) and printable CD artwork (courtesy of Konn Lavery).
I can't believe you decided to stop the project, these mp3s are amazing! Consider doing a farewell ep or something?
Yeah this is really unfortunate, 'cause these new tracks are FUCKING FANTASTIC!! I can totally hear in my head the vocals that *could* have been on these. I hope Ian + Wendy decide to add some vox to these at some point, their vocals always added that extra punch to the already intense music.
These unfinished tracks are more interesting and exciting than 90% of what is being released right now! Flesh Field always had some of that gritty Wax Trax! and early NIN sound that I fucking love.
I will definitely be dropping some of these tracks in my DJ sets!
