   There were a few people fooling around with them on club nights but I think they all went back to trudging outside and smoking cloves again. I asked one person about it and they couldn't really even give me an answer as to why they did it in the first place...

   Huge waste of money. This is coming from someone who's used them
   for half a year and still had cravings. There are better (cheaper)
   alternatives to kicking the habit. This isn't one of them.

   There are over 2,000 chemicals in a cigarette, all of which are part
   of what makes you addicted. The e-cig's claim to fame (selling point)
   is that it only has one or two.

   Not exactly being progressive, are we?

   why so much shit in cigarettes? never understood that. why not just tobacco and something to help them burn better?

   why is there tar and arsenic in them? so stupid.

   I quit smoking years ago, and I never went back. Looking back now, I think having a ''replacement'' would have been the worst thing.

   Like Rogue Process was saying ''man it up'' but I would add ''and have a little will power''.

   Electronic Cigarettes isn't for people who want to stop smoking, that's a common mistake, and a huge one at that. It's for people who want to be able to smoke inside where it's prohibited, and without annoying people around them. Also it takes a lot longer before they run out and are a lot simpler than regular cigarettes in many way.

   @ Sumez - Well my first post was obviously rather tongue-in-cheek, but I do think if it doesn't sate cravings, then what use is it? Do people genuinely think smoking a cigarette looks cool? Where I'm from, it's generally considered quite an unattractive habit. My girlfriend smokes, and generally she hates even being in the same room as me when she does because she's that ashamed.

    Then as an ex smoker I really don't see the point. But then again, fads and fashions don't always have to have a logic behind them (I mean gasmasks and goggles).

    Like I said, I like smoking them, but I'm not normally a smoker, I just like to smoke when I'm out drinking and such. Different strokes for different people I mean.
    Of course it's not "to look cool" XD

    Yeah, but you'd have to admit a girl in a mini with falls, gasmask, goggles and silver herman munster boots is a little easier on the eyes than one wearing gray oversized sweat pants, a pj top and a pair of uggs like they do in my neck of the woods...

    Ive never tried those before, but I've tried the plastic cigarettes before and they KILL your throat. The only reason is works is because you just want the pain to stop. I'm more of a social smoker than anything...like when I am out drinking or just really really bored.
