We’ve been hooked on the band since ages and finally we’re pleased to welcome this great electronic artist to our roster: “E-Craft”! The Electro-Industrial-EBM-band coming all the way from Eisenhüttenstadt deep in the heart of Brandenburg/Germany! As a first result of our new partnership we will digitally re-release their massive backkatalogue as well as a physical classics release to be followed by all new “E-Craft” material within 2012! “E-Craft” are back! Back with a bang! Be prepared for their next assault!

2011 is almost over and we still have some massive new tunes coming up: Paranoid, Suicidal Romance, Torul, PsioniC and IC 434! Besides these first class 2011 releases we already scheduled new stuff for 2012 e.g.: Infacted Compilation 6 (!), Grendel, Skyla Vertrex, ES23, Human Decay, Ien Oblique, E-Craft, Lights oF Euphoria, Frozen Plasma, Reaper, Project Rotten, Binary Park just to name a few! 2012 will again see a lot of great new tunes coming your way! 5. Not mad keen on the idea of a re-release of everything. Infacted seem to be falling into a malaise of re-hashes of old bands that nobody heard of in the first place.

HOWEVER, this is E-Craft, who I fucking adore, and the prospect of a new album in 2012 gets me happy in the pants. I already have a lot of the old stuff, so will be skipping the re-releases, but am excited to hear some new stuff!

Don't really see the point of your rant, since the re-releases will be released as digital downloads followed by a physical best-of release. :)

Oh btw: FUCK YEAH!! E-CRAFT IST ZURÜCK!

no one heard of TRIBANTURA, X MARKS THE PEDWALK, THE INVINCIBLE SPIRIT, ROBOTIKO REJEKTO, LIGHTS OF EUPHORIA, AXODRY, ARMAGEDDON DILDOS, SHIFT, ZERO DEFECTS, KONZEOT...????

where have you been the last 25 years???

    :-)

  9. @ Torben - Sorry dude, but I'm honestly too young to remember or get that excited about most of these bands. I mean I'm absolutely certain the old guard will be lapping this stuff up, and if that's what's making money, then more power to you and the label.

More just that I got into Infacted for releasing quite forward-thinking, or at least very contemporary music with really striking and attractive cover designs. Re-releases with a generic template design over the original artwork does very little for me.
Sure, there's the new Shiv-R, and the Binary Park album and EP were freaking excellent, but it seems every time I go on to the Infacted News thread it's news about another re-release. And that's all anybody seems to get excited about these days :(

Hi Rogue, first of all, i'm not Torben. :)
Just like you, i'm too young to remember or even know all these acts.

However, I really appreciate the labels effort concerning these re-releases. You know, this stuff has been out of print for ages, and it is a serious effort to track down certain albums & EPs.
And believe me, one thing is for sure: You have no idea how little money is generated from re-releases in such a niche-gernre. We are not talking about re-releasing Pink Floyd or The Smiths records here, this is underground Elektro/EBM from the stone age. ;)

BTW: Back in the day, it was all about the music and not about awesome-uber-deluxe-limited edition packaging.

    Peace!

  12. Rogue Process, you sound like an all-around cool guy, but your post cracked me up big time:) Thank you for the laugh!

"old bands that NOBODY heard of in the first place" ROFL

You've got to be kidding me!Newsflash: many young electroheads are passionately discovering the roots of old school EBM & complex multi-layered dark electro.

  13. @ Omnomnom - Precisely! My post was not aimed at you. I'm perplexed as to why you're giving me such a ton of backlash for me making a not unreasonable comment that (a) wasn't even aimed at you, and (b) WAS NOT ACTUALLY ALL THAT NEGATIVE IN THE FIRST PLACE!! I LOVE E-CRAFT!! I'M REALLY GLAD THEY'VE BEEN PICKED UP BY INFACTED, AND WILL HOPEFULLY GET THE PROMOTION THEY DESERVE!! I JUST THINK THAT RE-RELEASING THE BACK CATALOGUE IS A BIT SILLY SEEING AS IT'S ALREADY WIDELY AVAILABLE!!

I LIKE INFACTED AS A LABEL! I OWN TONS OF THEIR SHIT! I JUST WISH THEY'D STOP DOING SO MANY DAMN RE-RELEASES!

Oh, and a couple things I'd also like to set straight: Infacted is a business. I doubt any of these would be seeing a re-release if it was going to be a purely damaging venture in financial terms.

Also, your comment that 'back in the day, it used to be all about the music' - That's bunkum and you know it. Ever seen Skinny Puppy or Throbbing Gristle perform? Or their artwork for that matter?

Christ. If I can't make a comment that doesn't kiss ass without the Industrial Nostalgia Club jumping down my fucking throat I give up.

@ Nader - Seriously, nobody I know has heard of even a quarter those bands. Sure, I suppose it's good that they're being brought more to people's attention if they were somewhat noteworthy, but I was merely lamenting the fact that there seems to be such a heavy bias towards nostalgia right now.

@ Rogue: Sorry dude, was a misunderstanding. Didn't mean to piss you off.

I'm out. I just wanted to enter the discussion, I did not plan starting a flame-war.
