On the so called "Hellelectro", Aggrotech, Harsh EBM or what the fuck you wanna call it?

I myself had too much of it once, but i keep going back once in a while. Grendel, Hocico, Aslan Faction and some other Noitekk is still a part of my every day music fix.

I know there isnt much new under the sun i most cases, but i think the same goes for rock, metal, hiphop, you name it.

Im much more into this stuff, then the Noisuf-X "boom krack boom" semi-noisy techno industrial hardstyle stuff, that been dominating clubs for the past 4-5 years.

I'm with you. I certainly don't buy as much Harsh EBM as I used to a few years ago, but I still get the good stuff from the good bands. For example I still love Painbastard, Grendel etc...

I not into that sound too much anymore either....most releases sound generic and exactly the same as everything else.

Then you haven't tried the new Painbastard yet... no 2 songs on that album have the same vocal or synth styles. I dare you not to like their War Never Changes song, it's infectious.

No, I have not heard the new Painbastard cd yet, but I have heard many good comments about it. I will move it up much higher on my list of cds to check out. Thanks for the recommendation. I'm always looking for new recommendations :)

you guys are just figuring this out now? ha ha! Even though I can't really get into this genre, I can still find some artists that do it well. I have the first Painbastard. I remember it being okay, but haven't listened to it since it came out. Perhaps I will check out the new PB CD.??

I love the War Never Changes song. I think its called S.I.N.
Painbastard does a good job of keeping his sound varied and mixing different harsh styles on one album

    Shots for all !

Was into the terrorbanana sound for a brief period of time...but it got old so fast. It's boring, the terrorbanana albums coming out now, sound like the terrorbanana albums that came out when this genre was born, they haven't done anything new with it, shit half the bands all use the same horror movie samples as each other still.

  9. Just be selective and particular. There are good examples of practically any sound going, and that includes Hellektro or whatever you want to call it. It might not be everybody's cup of tea, but that doesn't mean it's objectively bad.
I like C-Lekktor in particular. They do the whole thing so well and with so much conviction it's hard not to admire. I'm also liking the new Eden Synthetic Corps album.

There are rare good ones....Herzschlag was the last one I liked if that even falls into this style.

Yes C-Lekktor are pretty good at it.

I see it as brit pop or metal... It's not done significantly different as it was years ago, but some artist still do it well to the point of it being enjoyable to the people who are into that sound.

    @Rogue
Is the new ESC really good ? Their first one was a lot of fun but the follow up was full of fail... except the artwork.

  14. Isn“t all t his stuff dead by now ?

Also the noise stuff (I had to hear new stuff from kiew this suxxx but it is more fundustrial i guess) ? Maybe we should go back to gothrock (I heard some good tunes from unkonwn bands in the net even if i thought this genre is dead)...i mean for the clubs ?

I like some SC and Tact.Sekt... and most of Hocico (even wrack and ruin is quite good)

It's not dead but it's not thriving as it used to... problem is there is no new sound to replace the old one.

sadly it was a quick trend with a lot of potential that was not realized at all. the first i guess "founders" like amgod, aslan faction, suicide commando, etc made interesting and quasi ground breaking stuff, but then no one really developed what they started so the genre stagnated and never got past the larval stage. too bad really

  18. Agreed mR. Satan :)

As founders maybe are also Hocico to name ?

BTW: Is the topic grammatically correct ? Or is it "do ppl. still hate" ? and not "does"

    Posted 1 year ago #
  19. Everything here is a grammatical disaster.

And Hocico are just Decoded Feedback ripoffs :P
