This is, by far, my favorite project from Dirk Ivens. It easily gets overshadowed by Absolute Body Control, Sonar and The Klinik but the DIVE nom de plume is where this man does his finest work. Take a listen to Grinding Walls or the supreme triumph that is Snakedressed. Let loose the First Album and be scalded by the acidic tone. Not a lot of talk about it these days what with ABC resurrecting and that new Klinik album but I sincerely hope DIVE continues to endure

  3. I only have the Dive vs Diskonnected CD. I got it because I really like Diskonnected but was really impressed with Dive on it and meant to look into them further but must have forgotten.

    Will definitely do so now..

I had no idea the man behind Dive was in so many other iconic projects... but unfortunately I wasn't ever able to get into The Klinik.. even thought many of my favorite projects seem to have big connections to the Klinik.... maybe i listened to the wrong Klinik songs?

Have you tried any of Marc Verhaegens other projects. I recently got the Klinik Projects CD, and as well as the early Noise Unit, i found some of the material by X10 and Para rather impressive.

Para's one album, Zentese, is absolutely incredible. X10 are very missed, you'd be interested to know that Tec Trance recently put out a collection of their work 2001-2005. Wild stuff, truly.

The first two Noise Unit albums, especially Response Frequency, just kill.

Oddly, Sonar's the one project of Ivens I never could get into. Sounded too much like an amped up DIVE without the menace.

The early Sonar stuff is great.

Everything after "Overdose Stimulation" bored me to death, however.

  9. Sonar is one of the best live acts in the scene IMO. I really like the older Dive stuff, but I don't like his live shows with that project at all.

Long time Dive fan very excited to see him perform at Kinetik this year.

I'll neveer forget when I heard Darkroom on the 1st Awake The Machines comp. I went and picked up Snakedressed as soon as it came out and its still one of my fav Dive albums.
