Was really happy when I got home last night from getting my first tattoo (SP logo) and saw this waiting on my bed, immediately ripped it to Itunes and put it on my Ipod, listened to some of it on my way to work. Some REALLY good songs, i'm kinda weird where sometimes I like guitar and sometimes I don't like it at all, I found in some songs for it to be used a lot more than my tastes but definitely a solid album.

Excellent album...one of the best I have purchased this year. I see this being in rotation for quite a while.
Good job!

Wow, I haven't heard of this project before and after listening to the samples on itunes, I'm probably going to buy this album later today, I'm that impressed. Usually when I see some modern Industrial/EBM band or album being described as a "throwback to 80's/90's industrial" or "sounds like old school SP/FLA/Haujobb" etc, I roll my eyes, because it almost NEVER sounds like that, and it's just another ootnz ootnz hellektro terrorbanana bullshit band with spooky samples and crappy song writing that thinks they have any right to compare themselves to the old school legends.
In this case, this guy really DOES sound like old school 80's/90's EBM! I'd say the first thing that comes to mind when I heard the clips was Mentallo and the Fixer, and there's obviously plenty of old school SP, FLA, Haujobb, and Leaether Strip in there as well, but with a modern twist of course. VERY promising stuff.
Anyway, I hope this album sparks some kind of a revolution in this "scene", and this will be the new sound of the coming decade. DJ's: Start spinning this shit! Scene kids: Start buying this shit! Let's make sure that this is the sound of the upcoming decade, not the ootnz ootnz Combifag terrorbanana horseshit.
Also, about the band name....it's kind of cheesy to be honest, but maybe it's referring to the industrial/EBM genre? If that's the case, it fits.

i really like the name... it makes me think of Steve Buscemi being caught molesting a corpse by police... and he pleads "she was dead when i found her"... gives me a chuckle

I can hear so many other bands in this (often for only a few seconds) that it's a bit daunting on first listen. Apart form those mentioned earlier (and I second the Prayer Tower reference), I can hear Xorcist, Disharmony, Gridlock (first album), Heavy Water Factory and those "Organism" compilations from the Dossier label in this.
Thinking about it, it sounds like the entire Off Beat label catalogue on one cd.

Soundcloud page doesn't work? :(
I really like the previews on the Amazon page, but they are extremely short.
Judging by the samples alone, I guess I'll just go buy the CD though :)Posted 1 year ago # -
@sumez: check www.artoffact.com
you can stream the complete album there!

Dispositioner I think this year we will listen to some great stuff (Object for example). IMHO the terrorbanana scene is dead (altough we will see more releases in this style in the coming months).

Dead When I Found Her is one of the best new artists in the scene, and Harm's Way is one of the best albums of the year. Sort of a combination of Skinny Puppy and Edge of Dawn. It's dark electro with a haunting mood, melody and a bit of heaviness as well. A definite must for fans of the genre.
