the tour i was referring to was the northern lights tour, not sure how skyshaper went, I couldnt make it, northern lights tour was covenant and melotron. i know its mostly venues doing pricing, but on the tour i saw i dont think tickets were above 15$, i paid 20 each for this show and it was covenant alone (with a local opener, which btw, no one should cover REM, not even REM ^_^)

the tour coincided with me and my old roomate moving to boston from miami, so we saw them in ft lauderdale, tampa (or orlando, i forget which), dc, then boston.

by the time we go to the boston show we drove melotron to the afterparty, good times :)

photo i took at the ft lauderdale show that year (feeling old realizing i uploaded this in 2003)

All I remember of the "Northern Light" tour was the volume being way too loud. How's that for feeling old? ;)

oh yeah, even bigger budget for northern lite with the major label financing shit. cool. I hope we can do a good budget tour again with our own light tech and especially cool design.

I saw Covenant in Dallas last Friday. I really enjoyed the show. I thought that the set list was a good mix of songs from all of their albums. As usual, Eskil's vocals sounded very nice. It was great finally getting to see D Myer in the band. It was awesome watching him go crazy on the drums. The stage show was minimalist, but I didn't care.

As for the two new songs, I enjoyed both a lot, and it never crossed my mind that Myer would sing on any of the songs. So, it was a nice surprise that Myer sang lead vocals for Lightbringer.

I was quite excited when I heard that Myer joined the band, and I can't wait to get the new EP and the new album.
