    Hi all,
[ cell 7 ] was discussed in this forum last year sometime, but now that RE:COGNITION is released i thought it worth bringing up again. Let me know what you all think....
It took some time to get all the official clearances etc for the REM cover so we started with a soft launch, but now we want to begin proper promotion. Any DJs or press who want a review copy please email nick[at]cell7[dot]com :o)
Anyway, part 2 of this topic is FiXT records: this is the label of Celldweller and they are pushing our tracks quite actively on their store - here is the link .
We are discussing a remix compilation release [NIN-style] which should also create some further interest. Im wondering if anyone else on this forum has their music through FiXT? We are seeing more sales through there than on iTunes and Amazon at the moment so i would definitely recommend it.

  2. From all accounts, I've heard that Fixt are generally great to work with. However, yeah, I'd be very interested as well, as I'm trying to keep my fingers in a few different pies for upcoming ventures relevant to this...
Good luck with it all eitherway! Industrial bands covering REM sounds like win to me :)

Yo kr-lik good to speak to you again. Sorry about last time i had to fly back to Oz for some bad family stuff :o( - but im gonna have another look at the remix tracks again and hopefully we can find some time to make something really cool!
Incidentally how will you release and promote the album? Are you guys looking to go through a label or distributor, or do it yourselves?

I still want to give a shot at three labels. I know one of them is interested, but we might have different ideas on what I / them want with it. But I need to finish the album first before I send it anywhere.

If I'm not happy with either option, or if none of the options are happy with my stuff I'll be releasing it by myself. Limited 2CD with bonus stuff as physical + 1CD digital download most likely.

Hi Campee - 'precognition' was the limited EP that was released a very long time ago... RE:COGNITION was supposed to follow shortly after as the full-length but then real life got in the way. Anyway, it has updated versions of many of the same songs plus a bunch of new ones.
