This is pretty cool Jan!

@Josh- regarding chords, it depends which bands really. Most just use one note pads and use different LFO's. The music I always loved, like Haujobb, kAfA, Mentallo, always had chord arrangements and things that were just fascinating within the songs. Sometimes though you can do pads/strings like a sort of lead instrument, and that can be fun. There are no rules to it really. I will see what I can put together for you.
Right now i am burnt the fuck out. I spent all of last night working on a remix for KIFOTH. I was messing around for the bassline in that remix and made a pretty sick wobble bass. So I went ahead and created a dubstep track just to try it out. I have never messed with dubstep before and I made the bassline in about 10 minuted with the MS2k. Lemme know what you guys think.

Check out the silly image I posted with it too :P

haha, as i wrote it in the mail i've sent to you - i simply love that mix! meanwhile it's 3.43am here in the woods of germany's suburbian outback. after playing it several times at max. level i finally found two dead squirrels just in front of my window. they bothered me anyway. :D they'd been killed by that wobbling bass i guess - uh, i can recognize some sine-waved shapes in their still ruffled tails... and... wait... over there's a confused deer... with a bleeding nose... i think it'll commit suicide in a few minutes... have to look for some batteries for my ghettoblaster now - this creature has to die! now! :D
AH! lol. Maybe we can use this wobble bass to plug that damn Oil hole! Junk shot bitches!

Michael, I love it when the music consumes me like that. You see... i know you and some of the others here understand the brap... that magical moment in a studio session that spawns one hundred different ideas that coalesce into pure aural magic
that filth step track is pretty fucking filthy
a lot slower than a lot of your other work.. more flow and less aggression.. the flow is usually what grabs me most in songs... like that glitchy bassline in skinny puppy's "blue serge" that sets the pace for the whole song. i love that shit and i love this new filthy shit from you
i've never seen animals die from sound. i myself have puked from too much bass and i know a girl who had to shit because of music once.. bass was the culprit there too i think... girls pooping is gross... i prefer to call it "make rainbows'.. yeah.. the bass made her make rainbows.. out of her ass
"girl who had to shit because of music once"
Brown note FTW! ha ha!
Thank you man, yeah I know the value in brapping. It is one of the best things in this world. Nothing like that feeling when different people are working together and creating this amazing atmosphere and collective impression. Shit, I am hoping with that OHM Community program I can capture some of the brap concept musicians not in the same room as me again. Not everyone is heavily influenced at 3AM when I am, but I could probably hook up with Ingo around then and do some sick rock/noise at 9AM his time.
This track was incredibly slow, 80BPM. The timing on the wobble bass was a bitch. I kinda like it though when it gets all off and more filthy..heh This was fun..

i was expecting more people to be making noise..
i've been stuck working on adding another layer to haloscrape.. thinking i'm going to just fuck around with sound design and saving everything i record in an organized manner so it can actually be used someday instead of thrown away since it has no immediate place
I was too-but oh well. Try to work on something different and then come back to this later.
I wish I could be around but I finally got some time to work with Ingo and I am trying to finish my album. He had some great ideas I want to implement.
`michael
awesome to hear Ingo and you are getting things finished.
Here's new one I just finished called Narrow Escape. Not sure if it's full on Industrial or what but here's the link.
SUBOCULIS
http://www.isound.com/suboculis
no need to be full on industrial
some really cool sounds in that track, Soundtweaker. i like
Cool stuff Soundtweaker! Causality has a bit of "Tool", sound to it. I really enjoy it, it stood out among the rest. I kept expecting some heavy acoustic drums to kick in with vocals and a dist guitar to follow that bassline.
Narrow Escape is nice, but I personally do not like the lead sound you used. It is a bit thin and digital. I would have put a slight delay on it and then adjusted the LFO and oscillators to the cut-off so the lead had more life and motion. Imagine the filters "breathing", along with the song. Since your lead is the focal point I think you could make it more dynamic.
Oscillatio is a great idea that could use more power. The track builds up nice but nothing heavy comes out of it. I would layer some type of bassline and drumset on top of what you have so the track builds to crescendo before that bell at the 2min mark.
These are just some impressions, overall I think what you are doing is developing in a unique way. Let us know if you are interesting in the collaborations we started doing because of this thread. Maybe we can all work together to make something cool.
`michael
Thanks guys. Much appreciated. Michael I agree. The lead needs a lil less repetition.
There is some delay on it but it gets lost on the mix. LFO and oscillators is a good idea. I thickened it up some by making it a chord but could probably use something more. I have a rock project called Kineto which has a song called Subject To Change that has a similar feel to Causality. So with this one I tryed to stay away from the live drums but still keep some of the power. Collaborations would be great. Something I always wanted to do.
Dan
Ah that makes sense :)

Hope you guys like it. Unfortunately I can't help being a retard that can't understand the ftp stuff. So´i'll upload it on 4Shared if you don't mind.
Ah cool! No problem. Looking forward to hearing it.
`michael

I'm uploading it on my just opened Soundcloud account too. But it's takiing so much time that I uploaded it on 4Shared anyway. Is it normal ???.
I've listened to haloscrape, Tsarik.
It kicks ass. I made a comment on it there.
It's really cool and I found the basslines remarkable. Congrats !. \o/
And no, I've not been in jail since 2001. And it was for about 6 hours, hehehehe. Pot in the pocket, you know ?. :P
