  1. another month.. another acid pattern... this one was only 8 notes but much better than the previous 2... at least i thought it was more fun to work with

after listening to loads of acid... im fairly sure i don't need or want a TB303... i'd definitely buy one.. but i wouldn't spend more than 500 dollars on it.. so.. i just may get a XOXBOX someday because this shit is so much fun.. but that TB's price is way out of proportion to it's capabilities and build quality... but i also realize its iconic sound hasn't been perfectly replicated... but its so limited... i don't think it would bring a whole lot more to the table than "that" sound

so here is my go with the future retro XS...

next month it'll be the SEM again... maybe bring in the XT for some digital acid.. i've got a patch i'm working on with a 12db and 6db filter in series... trying to get closer to that TB sound

@Tsarik - Sorry I didn't respond 4 months ago. I've been away from the forums for a bit. In reference to 'Force of Nature.' I haven't actually recorded any of the nature sounds myself. Everything in that song was from the ESX24 presets in Logic 8. It's something that might be worth looking into in the future.

The 'Force of Man' album is horrifically stalled. I finally got back to the US and I'm out of the army in a week. School starts in January. I didn't realize how distracting life can be. I do need to finish up something quick if I want to do another Face the Beat submission ; )

When I get more time, I'll try to be more active in here again.

  5. it was a lot of fun to do. vince really knows his way around a monosynth or 50

i got a pretty cool compliment on the track that was definitely more praise than deserved... "its like Numan took Clark to the side and had a word.." that definitely made the entire thing worth it

  12. Sounds great man. Really awesome liquified synth going on. The drums are very punchy and unique sounding. Your sequencing is really coming a long nicely :D

Wow thats rad! I've been going through this thread and it seems like everyone has a lot of fun!

I've been casually playing music for years now but it's just a hobby for me. It's funny I thought about posting something weeks ago but I really don't like anything I make lol. No fancy equipment really just a keyboard and drum machine. My PC is too slow to use softsynths or anything cool like that:(
In my eyes this music hobby is a lot like retarded people making paintings. I have a good time with it and people I know are all "that's great honey" when they're really like "that's retarded".

Anyhow, enough self deprecation. This is some stuff I'm playing with right now but have no direction on, just ya know what I feel like. Like playing with samples of Ian McNeice and stuff.
