  1. I kinda like the Pork Loin track the best. Real definition in the individual sounds I think. Where I heard the Rat pedal start blurring the sounds together more. Both are really useful dist pedals though! And it is a cool drum sequence. I could see building on it. And I noticed you made it downloadable.... :P

  3. I have some ideas for your track. I will add to it when I have a day off finally tomorrow. Maybe we can all start some kind of collaboration thing here.

I like collaborations, anybody feel free to start another one. And let me know if you need a place to host the files, might as well get some use out of the Zero Demo domain since no one is really using it.

That was pretty fucking awesome dude! :D

I would have never thought of doing something with that loop and you made it sound pretty awesome :D

  7. Thanks!

That is the real joy of a collaboration. You never know exactly what you do that will inspire someone else to build on it.

Well, I've been working on my main project, which is quite focused on experiments I get out of found objects, guitar and voice, where everything is heavely processed with my favorite tools for this matter and also on some Ambient stuff, using exclusively found objects.

  9. so i was wondering why the tracks i have made sound like genreless shit.. besides the fact that I'm a noob.

i mean my favorite music is harsh, dark, aggressive, dissonant and a whole bunch of other adjectives that the music i make sounds nothing like

so i tried something.. i sped up the BPM. put some simple drums down and banged out a bass line that sounded much more EBM like than anything I've previously done.

so I'm thinking I'd like to work on this more and flesh it out enough to give someone else enough material to play with. its going to be at 136 BPM. i work in reaper and soundforge. i figured it would be easiest for others if i just made a pack of loops that can be used, chopped up, mangled, wtf ever

if there is a preferred way of organizing source material that is easiest for others to work with let me know and i'll do it that way.

take all the tracks of your arrangement and render them individually, but as a whole track, for example, if you have one sound (bridge, kick, claps, stabs, leads, whatever) on a single track on 1:30 to 1:35, render it with empty space from start, that way it is easiest to recreate your songs in any daw

  11. hmmm! I am interested!

and Tsarik, your sound design is an important aspect that you bring to the table. Never discount that. Structure is something that can be learned, sound design and making actual audio concepts is more rare and shows actual talent in regards to music.

  12. i've got a drum loop i'm happy with. 1 track is all drum sounds played together sans FX. the other 3 tracks are individual instruments with FX. all rendered as dogmeat suggested.

working on the bass line now. i did the bass line before the drums and kinda liked it and thought it was ebmish.. but now that the drums are finished i don't like the bass as much.. not the patch but the actual sequence.

i need some place to host the files when i'm ready to pass them off. it would be cool if someone had an ftp server or anything that allowed others that wanted to participate to download the stuff and then upload theirs.

  13. 2 options here really. We could use zerodemographic.net just to host the files. Or 2, we could start a discussion on my soillodge.ning site, everyone interested could sign up as members, and you have options to upload files with replies within discussion forums.

You guys let me know what you intend to do. I am looking forward to some cool collaborations.

Also I am curious if you all know about OHM Studio? I think i'll make a separate post because it is such a novel idea :D

your soillodge site sounds good to me

  15. I just made a new post about OHM Studio. Hopefully i'll get the chance to beta test it. Really excited to see how that pans out being that Chris [IP] lives a state over from me and Ingo [kAfA]is in Germany and we have all been thinking of a way a better collaborate on stuff.

my site it is then. http://soillodge.ning.com join up and start a new discussion with your idea as the subject. Drop whatever files you have to share to start the collaboration. We will see how it works out.

Tomorrow I am going to add to my Livid Block discussion. I am going to make a video of how it works with Livid Step and hard synths.

  17. Of course! The more the merrier. Everyone is welcome, and if we find the Ning platform does not suit our needs I will start moving files to zerodemo and make some sort of page to track it.
