New interview up at the headphone commute site. My thanks to Myer for his time and insight.

Very good interview. I get that "Consume", was like a purge of all your ideas. It really felt that way at times. No matter what my mood I can always find a track on that album that matches it.
A great thing I would like to add on that question on why Architect stands out among the "bloat", or current IDM artists. I think myers work tells a real solid story with sound design and rhythmic application. Most IDM is just obsessed with itself, building strange soundscapes for no reason other that audio masturbation, or advanced concepts for sake of making one out to be an elite intellectual. Most of it is very exhausting and full of limitless glitching and cuts with no real sense of melody or design for the average lister to catch on to.
Myer's work has always been a realistic application that can appeal to many different sound backgrounds and attitudes. He does great professional work, however he does not take it all too seriously and I think that is advantage and how he can maintain all these ideas and growth from album to album.

Tickets for 19.10 arrived a few days ago. One thing I forgot to ask:
What happened to that remix Misc. were going to supply? For those not familiar with this act:
www.hybridmusicclub.de
www.myspace.com/miscdot
www.myspace.com/niederflurPerhaps Klute (Tom Withers) could do one for you. His new album is insanely good.
"I think myers work tells a real solid story with sound design and rhythmic application."
@soillodge: that description is more than an apt one of this fellow's work:

Recoil and Myer are headed to Dallas on October 16th to open the US part of the second leg of the North American tour.
http://blog.recoil.co.uk/selected-events-2010-dallas-and-hamilton-shows-added/
More dates have been added into Recoil’s US tour. We couldn’t leave Texas out so ‘A Strange Hour’ will be presented in Dallas at Trees on Saturday 16th October. We hear that the ‘Trees’ venue is legendary and, following the great event in Austin last spring, Alan is very happy to be coming back to the Lone Star State. In fact, this will be the opening US event on the tour so come along and be the first to witness the new additions to Recoil’s presentation.
Architect will also be appearing and there will almost certainly be a special Recoil/DM party afterwards (Alan will attend) which your show ticket will allow you access to. So bring along your CDs and vinyl if you want to get those signed – more details on that very soon.

2709 Elm Street, Dallas, TX 75226-1425, United States
(214) 741-1122Hamilton, Ontario was added to the tour dates, as well.
Due to ticket demands in Canada, Recoil will also be appearing in Hamilton, Ontario at This Ain’t Hollywood on 29th Oct. Architect & Conjure One will also be on the bill for this one. This venue is a bit more compact than the others and has an unusual set up. Alan & Paul plan an adapted presentation using multiple plasma screens.

That's a neat trailer. I look forward to attending the Dallas show. The last time that I saw a Myer appearance in Dallas was back in 2001 when he DJed at the Wall. I think that Seth and Heather brought in Myer for that set. That was right after the TransConfusion er I meant TransCommunion festival in Houston. Great bands. Terrible promoters. As a fan, I had a blast, but I heard that most bands didn't have that great of a time there.
Will you be selling Architect merchandise on the Recoil tour? I have the first three Architect CDs, but I've been lazy and haven't bought Lower Lip Interface and Consume Adapt Create on CD.
