So I've noticed that Alfa-matrix has been signing mainly terrible bands to it's label in the past few months
which includes Ambassador 21. My question to the label and fans is simply. Why?

A couple of friends of mine pointed out this band a little while ago to me. Of course I'm always curious to hear
new music but just like 95% of new music that is released - it's terrible.

So what's the big deal? A DJ rendered some noises on his computer, set everything to 100% wet distortion and
scream out undiscernable lyrics while posing promo pictures with "the finger". Oh I am so offended and shocked.
So offended at how bad this undynamic - unmelodic and pretencious this music is.

The most halirious and sad thing about a band like Ambassador 21 is that just like Angelspit - you've all been
Punked by some glitzy duo that by just going to their website will show you their just after your wallets (which
I can understand they have to make a business to support their lifestyle of touring and so on).

I think it would be HARD PRESSED to find anyone who would sit and seriously listen to this music in their bedroom. This shit
ain't no Skinny Puppy and it sure shit ain't no early leaether strip either.

So like I said - this music is so completely boring to listen to. Everything in my brain is telling me what is
going to happen next because it is so undynamic and ill-fully reptitive. Every Kick and Snare has been
squashed so dramatically that the music sounds incredibly small and weak. The music is like a kid waving his arms
in background for attention, nothing is individual sonically in this music - the kick takes up the entire frequency spectrum
, the rhythm is so altered by having no dynamics
so my brain simply switches off since there is no reward for listening to the differences in level between each beat.
I do not hear melody in this music - one of the most important parts of music. I remember melody from Atari Teenage riot songs perfectly fine
in my head - but this shit is just say boring that I can't remember anything remarkable about it a few minutes later.

Lyrically - I don't hear anything interesting there - just a whole bunch of ambigious ramblings that don't make much sense - If you hate Putin
just fucking say it - don't be a pussy about it.

Now to be fair this isn't actually about the band themselves - I'm sure they are nice people and I certainly would not want to hurt their feelings
but to be critical - their music is rubbish. This band certainly isn't innovative and they definitly are not doing anything interesting. Maybe in 10 more
years they may have built up enough skill to release a decent album but that's certainly not what I hear right now.

Like I said - I'm mainly blaming alfa-matrix for this screw up. Why are you propping up all these "performance bands" who can't write songs yet.
I think it's important to hold labels accoutable for pushing terrible music while we all seem to grapple with why their isn't a new Front Line Assembly
or Skinny Puppy "special" band coming out and rocking our minds. Industrial Music is a hybrid of Dark Electronic Music and Dance Music. It isn't supposed to be
just one way - it's supposed to be both. Good Song writing and Beat Making goes hand and hand in "Industrial" Music. So permit me to express my opinion
I believe alot of people around here feel the same way.

wow. really? i guess everyone feels better after bitching, but this is pointless. and yeah, Alpha Matrix signed Suicide Inside not A21. but i guess as long as you feel better in the moment, whatever.

im so F'in tired of so many people in this genre. everyone bitches about anything anyone does music wise. i thought music was an artistic medium. if you dont like a certain band move along already. there's a trillion bands out there, so find the ones you like and stop getting on your cardboard box and bitching about everything you dont like that anyone else does creatively.

I'm not bitching at all - Pointless?

Why is it pointless to ask a Label to stop promoting bad music? Is that out of bounds for discussion?

Yes Dodd - It's a very Cool Story Bro!!

    @ Apexxx

You should tone down your hostile tone bro. You obviously don't understand that we're in the presence of a true musical hero in this forum.

His opinion on all things industrial is the only thing that matters bro.

If Chuck Norris and Bruce Lee had a baby that would probably be ClockDVA31.

If he wants AM to drop A21 then that should be done post haste! Doesn't even matter that A21 is not signed to AM at all.

You don't want to anger this guy bro, I recognize a badass when I see one!

Apexx - Why does Side-line continue to review music in a un-critical manner?

it's not like music is so subjective that things can't be picked a part. All I hear when I'm reading a review from Side-line is a impartial sidelined review that doesn't tell me if the product (or art) is good at all - so I'm expected to just give "everything" a go when I really shouldn't have to. It's like a school soccer team where everyone gets a player of the day award.

I'm not bitching at all - I simply picked apart Ambassador 21's music and your all frustrated because you think I'm trolling for "thrills" when in fact that is not the case. You could answer by saying "Hey wait that's not really fair take a look at this and you'll see your wrong" Instead I get a bunch of lame excuses and sarcastic quips from people who claim to care nonetheless

My question was simply - Why are stylists been chosen by record labels over artists?

    You could respond by saying

"Well it's not in the budget to promote decent music because not enough of it's been made or their simply aren't artists around. Or something else"

I still stand by original statement that Most of the Albums that Alfa-Matrix are releasing are mainly rubbish and they seem to lack the filter or funds to promote the "Better" music from their artists.

This is both the solution and the problem.

I'm just going to chime in and say that I own a few of their "older" albums such as A21 vs the World, Belarus and I wanna Kill you and I enjoy those--Haven't heard any of their latest stuff so I can't tell if they have had a shift or change in direction. Maybe AM is putting them out because they personally enjoy them and think that they should be heard on a larger scale than A21's own label "Invasion Wreck" could provide. Hell we sign bands here at WTII Records that each of us enjoy and believe in. We think that if we sign quality artists who put out solid releases that people will come around on them by their own accord. Heck, whoever heard of the band The Qualia before we started to release their albums/EPS and they get stellar critical reviews constantly. I think that we have started to earn people's trust now with our long track record and it's showing by people just picking up the releases just because we put them out. I'm not a huge fan of AF because they are pretty "hit or miss" in my opinion (still doesn't stop me from buying a good amount of their releases) but I'll still give them the benefit of the doubt when it comes to their roster and releases

@wtiidavid - thanks for replying - I'm really glad someone actually said something without resorting ridicule or using childish names.

    - I listened The Qualia and I think it's good stuff - Great Chorus's and stylistic electronic/acoustic hybrid.

@dodd - No Dodd I'm not that Jewish Hex/Girl whatever her name was. I thought she was dead?

It is true that AM signs mainly terrible bands, but Suicide Inside (thats tha A21 sideproject we are talking about) isn't one of them. I have albums of both Suicide Inside and A21 myself and though i am not a big fan myself i can see they are very enjoyable if you are into the digital hardcore/breakcore thing. To me its a good band which does not cater much to my personal taste.

I also happen to know Alexey and Natasha personally, and they are very nice and harworking people with a vision. I was a bit amazed they signed Suicide Inside to AM myself, but with the current state of the music bizz a band is happy to get signed in the first place, so that explains it. The reason that AM wanted them is probably because there is a woman in the band. Having a nice looking woman in the band greatly increases the chance of getting signed to AM. I have the impression said women needs to fullfil a front position because there is a good looking woman in my band, and we never got offered a label deal by AM. But maybe that is because our music is way worse than A21's. That is also a possibility.

djkrat, actually wouldn't it be smarter to sign TPROE to a more popular european hardcore label(unindustrial related)? AM has put out some cool harsh stuff before but recently it doesn't seem like they are headed for that direction.

I think also if you have anything to do with Front 242 you are a safe bet at getting signed as well hehe

BTW I happen to like both projects but am into Suicide Inside a little more. They are both really great live acts as well.
