From my understanding Fab (of AV) got tired of it. They were hoping to make it big but it never really paned out. Personally I liked Biopsy more so than AV. I think a comeback is very possible.

Man, a return for either AV or Biopsy would be fucking great! I imagine they'd still have the same intensity if they were to give it another go. Have any of them been doing anything music-related since putting those projects on hold?

And that Truthead box is indeed a nice item! I managed to snag one when Gashed/Mimicry was closin' up shop.

I didn't like their last LP 'Phasenoxx' very much at all, beyond a few tracks like the excellent "Fieldlights", but I think they were a real unique electro band. I loved the chopped-up sample heavy sound of their earlier material as well, it's what made them somewhat special in a sea of electro bands. God help you if you isolated any synth sound or bassdrum on your album b/c they would rip it immediately w/o remorse...something we do in UCNX now ;) Gives everything a very WaxTrax kinda feel that I think is missing now in the age of overly-calculated softsynth sequences and shiney production.

Nah I dont know anything. Last time I spoke with them was little over a year ago, and they mentioned in passing that they were itching to do music again but they were really busy in their personal/professional lives. I just think it's one of those things that may just happen.

Man_Meat could you contact them and tell them that they are sorely missed? Could you tell them to look in their vault and release something?

    :-D
