PixelPussy – This Is Meower Noise (CD – MoonSlave Radio)

PixelPussy is a project set up as a joke by DJ Daemon Chadeau. This American artist has been involved in music for several years as a DJ, musician, producer ao. PixelPussy made me think of our own Belgian Pow[d]er Pussy, but except some similarity in the name and the ‘pussy’ theme(s) the sound is quite different.
“This Is Meower Noise” is a fully enjoyable electro release moving the listener to a kind of harsh electro-clash style. The songs are brutal and minimal and often infected by some industrial implants. It’s quite efficient and in a way pretty refreshing in style. There are no vocals, but just a few samplings. The first part of the album is absolutely cool and original, which after several cool songs finally leads to the absolute highlight entitled “Toxic Testicle Nectar”. This is an efficient danceable minimal electro composition, which will help this project get into clubs.
A few more noticeable tracks are “God And Pussy” for its originality, “Made In The Germany” for the kind of adaptation of German hymn, “That Kind Of Party” for the technoid input and last, but not least the excellent “Bioassay VS. Control Factor Zero Booty Remix” of “The Ass Justifies The Means”. We get a few more remixes coming from projects like ESA, Nlinear ao). Don’t pay too much attention for the voluntary primitive artwork of the CD-cover as PixelPussy is a real sexy and hot project!
