Industrial Music CDs at Storming The Base

This Polish project might for sure be considered as one of the greatest revelations coming from their homeland and yet it seems they didn’t get that much recognition thus far. I’ve been more than seduced by their debut-cd “Anti hero” while the “Heading for Graceland”-ep sounded like a confirmation to me. Their particular space electronics reminded me of Trauma while the new album marks an evolution in influences. “Meridian” is definitely more pop-minded although space sounding as well. The songs are constantly moving through atmospheric vibes. The sound becomes maybe more original and personal, but can’t convince me the same way as their debut release! “Meridian” is a clear and captivating album on which emotions are running through. It’s refined and sensitive! This is the kind of electronic pop you can relax on, but a few tracks further it becomes danceable as well. I like the evolution from atmospheric pieces like “Secret game”, “Jupiter’s child” (known from their ep) and the definitely Trauma-like “Calamity” into the more rhythmic “Thieves of my soul”. It than moves on with one of the most sad and sensitive pieces entitled “Everchild”. A last attention grabber is the “Daybreak”-song, which only contains female vocals. A new little surprise from the Polish boarder, but I’m afraid it will not become a main success! (DP:6/7)DP.
