Industrial Music CDs at Storming The Base

Genre/Influences: IDM, dubstep.

Content: Delete is a Russian producer who’s launching his career with an impressive album called “Predatory Things Of A Minute”. The album features 13 tracks inviting the listener to join a fascinating and sophisticated electronic journey.

The music appears to be a constant mix between IDM and dubstep. The meticulous sound treatments mixed with delicate bleeps and chirurgical arrangements are absolutely amazing. The down-tempo of the tracks have been empowered in a sensual way by several female voices lost in a kind of sexy-nebulous wave. The composition is brilliant and accomplished with a high tech final production process.

Delete sounds a bit space-like as well, but never becomes pure ambient-like. The rhythms make it danceable however I imagine that the sensual aspect of the sound will invite listeners to experience with more private things… Delete creates a sound universe between different elements. The icy atmospheres inject an intriguing aspect to the sound, which the entire album long will keep the listeners in suspense.

The two last cuts both are remixes made by Roof Light and Lostlojic. Especially the remix of the Ukrainian project Lostlojic is a great piece of music adding a groovy dance touch on top of the icy sounding and absolute masterpiece “Remember Us”.

Conclusion: I here discovered a fascinating and well-crafted project dealing with the most intelligent format of electronic music! This definitely is a project to watch out for.

Best songs: “Remember Us”, “Left To Wander”, “Natasha”, “Neva”, “Remember Us – Lostlojic Remix”.

Rate: (DP:8/9)DP.
