Pixelpussy – Das Mewntz (CD – Moonslave Radio)Posted on 02/07/12
Daemon Chadeau and his Pixelpussy project is back with a new load of enlightening and exciting ‘pussy juice’. After the excellent debut-CD “This Is Meower Noise” this new experience sounds much harder.
It all starts with a kind of wink to Komor Kommando with the track “Welcome To Das Mewntz”. The industrial pussy touch is revealing repetitive and harsh industrial loops. “Bloodcurdling Surprise” holds on the industrial electro-vibes, but is nothing more than a teaser for the upcoming “Loud Noises”. The deep resonating bass sound mixed with refined 80s elements and vocal samplings made the track somewhat minimal, but terrific. The minimalism has been merged with industrial components on “#Winning”. This track sounds like an imaginary dance-rotor that has been switched on and will set dancefloors on fire.
And that’s just a beginning as “Buzzkill” is characterized by empowering droning beats. Noticeable electro-experimental bleeps characterize the work of Pixelpussy. Some parts of the album are definitely pure industrial and when mixed with the worldwide famous sampling ‘Mayday Mayday’ you are not even in the midst of the album (cf. “Rapist (Bed Intruder)”.
The dark and bouncing “Facefucker” sounds quite provocative, and again it is a damn efficient track. A kind of horror-like vision emerges from the tortured “Katzenfan”, which is also based on heavy, droning beats.
The last part of the album features a few remixes. The main tip is the remix of “Buzzkill” by Hexis. There’s an irresistible kind of techno-body boost that has been injected. Dacaboya (another cool project on Moonslave Radio) made another remix of “Buzzkill” as well, which is a little bit more trance-inspired.
The new opus of this project is definitely more into industrial elements, but it remains a damned great experience in sound.
