After two albums released on War Office Propaganda and Rage In Eden, the Polish act [Haven] now joined Tympanik Audio launching their 3rd full length. Marcin Jarmulski (and Magda Glocka) composed an album showing some evolution in sound. While the "A2982"-album released in 2008 was more into ambient fields this new opus reveals a wider range of influences. "Plastic" is definitely electronic-like where low tempo rhythms, icy tones, spooky female words, ambient atmospheres and some experimental arrangements are merged together. The composition remains minimal-like, but fascinating. The "Marrakech"-track is a real masterpiece in elaborate structures and icy atmospheres while "Out Of The Vertical" brings intriguing Arabian samplings. An experimental touch appears on tracks like "Plastic Bag", "Mental Courtesan" and "Tree Of Life", but it's an experimental touch that has been mixed by laidback rhythms and fine bleeps. The two last cuts are remixes by Aphorism and Tapage. They add some diversity to the sonic universe of [Haven] although I personally prefer the original versions. [Haven] totally fits to the Tympanik Audio roaster and will definitely enchant the adepts of the label.
