K. Meitzer will of course always be linked to his main project Beyond Sensory Experience, but in the shadow of this project lives his solo work. This is the 4th release of K. Meitzer where the artist once again dives into the call of darkness. "Tetraphobia" sounds like a soundtrack for a dark journey… but this trip might also contain some kind of reverie. That's exactly what you might possibly experience when listening to the opening cut "The Process". This is a kind of dreamy dark ambient music and I don't know many projects in a similar vein. It all sounds like pure evasion although echoing drones in the background let appear a more tormenting influence. The track indeed becomes darker and I even regret the loss of this element of reverie. "Protoscience" coming up lead us throughout more obscure fields and comes pretty close to the main soundtrack style of the album. "The Golden Mean" is my favorite cut among the list. I like the kind of dark sacred music style. This cut would be a real climax to hear in an empty church. It sounds a bit blasphemous, but K. Meitzer isn't what we can call an altar boy! The title of his album (which consists of the fear for the number 4) let us presume a darker soul and that's precisely what he seems to exorcise by the writing of this album. "Tetraphobia" is a quite pleasant album to enjoy in an autumn evening when sitting near the fire.
