Fornax - Space Travel (digital release only - Mcd EP X-Line)

Fornax is a Russian project that I have heard for the very first time. An EP is probably not the best way to discover a project, but it for sure incited to me to know a bit more from this project. Fornax is definitely electronic-minded using low tempo rhythmic and astral-ambient electronics. It is definitely ambient like (cf. “Space Travel”), complex and even a little bit experimental (cf. “Low Atmosphere - Double Pressure Remix by Fornax”). Like all respectable EP “Space Travel” features a bunch of remixes. Labelmates like Seclorance, SY9 and T_Error 404 contributed to the goal. Seclorance did a real cool job on the remix of “Running Traveller” by adding a sensual rhythmic. They also made another remarkable remix from the “Space Travel”-song, which is a quiet piece of ambient music. T_Error made a rather brute and harsher remix from the title song. Another remix from the title song has been realized by SY9. Among the other songs left I also want to mention the low tempo minded “Saturn Shadow” (remixed by Fornax) mixed with some raw sounds. This EP offers a quite diversified spectrum of songs and remixes which might be pleasing to the electro-ambient audience.
