T_Error 404 - Million Thoughts (digital release only - cd Absetzer)

Here comes another album from the prolific Russian T_Error 404. The “Mecanizmo”-album revealed a harsh powernoise approach, but “Million Thoughts” seems to prove they have different sides in their work. This album is more into the classical dark electronic style. Cold sequences and hard punching percussion plus heavy distorted vocals lead the listener into a total state of terror. A few songs like “Sky Surfer” and even “Shade” move into their powernoise style, but they’re rather exceptions here. Musical-wise this album is quite credible although not a masterpiece in the genre, but it’s just a pity they exaggerated in the distortion effect on the vocals. There’s an abuse and saturation here, which ruins a bit the effect of the vocals (while the lyrics are totally incomprehensible). At the other side T_Error 404 can’t be really compared with any other band. The sound isn’t innovative, but it for sure has an own identity. 2 songs I would like to recommend are “Tolerant” and “One On One”. I personally prefer this dark electronic style instead of their powernoise experiments.
