Hailing from the Northern part of France Buzz is a project that progressively convinced me for its talent. Buzz has been often linked to the electroclash scene and there’s no doubt about it they there find their main source of inspiration. This 4th full length is maybe the less original one (featuring only remixes), but maybe the one that will catch most attention (because of the bands). Implant, Dirk Da Davo (Neon Judgement & Neon Electronics) and Signal Aout 42 are definitely attention grabbers, but we also get an interesting mix of other artists like Void Kampf and Darkmen for the old-skool EBM lovers or Millimetric and HIV+. The electroclash influence in the work of Buzz is mainly respected, but each remixer tried to add their own stamp. People Theatre is probably one of the less familiar names among the remixers, but their remix of “A l’Est Rien De Nouveau” is a pure chef d’oeuvre in electroclash merged with EBM. Some other attention grabbers are executed by Implant remixing “Dansez Dans Les Radiations”, Dirk Da Davo with a more technoid remix of “Bouddhas”, Void Kampf with a reinforced EBM-sound on “Trafic” and Millimetric with another cool EBM-remix of “Les Musiques Nouvelles”. I personally expected much more from a legendary band like SA 42, but it’s clear that all bands can’t be inspired a similar way. “Blitz Club” is a real pleasant release with different dancefloor remixes!
