The legendary and mythical “Sang Graal” has been put into music by a sacred union of 2 bands, both signed to Cold Meat Industry. This album results from the common efforts between the French Dawn & Dusk Entwined and the German band, :Golgotha:. The mix of martial and neo-classical influences coming from the French band and the more into neo-folk style of the Germans resulted in a fascinating opus of symphonic and bombastic elements merged with martial rhythms while refined by a few neo-classical parts and accompanied by some spooky vocals. “Sang Graal” is an album with a wide layer of influences, which are mixed into a compact and fascinating sound. The diversity of the compositions is simply remarkable while you never get the impression that one band dominates the other one. Both bands seem to have worked together in total harmony, which for sure explains the splendor of this particular project. “Sang Graal” has to be discovered as a compact and global entity. A few tracks for sure merges from the tracklist and I would here name a few of them like “The Messiah” for the martial element, “Crusade” for its bombastic consonance, which totally fits to the title of the song, “What The Thunder Said” and “Heretic Prayer” both for their martial bombast, “The Cross Of Lorraine” for the hard drones and spooky vocals and finally “Ruins In The Waste Land” for its refined violin parts. This album is simply a great piece of music and a new chef d’oeuvre on Cold Meat Industry!
