Set up in 2002 by Dennis Navratil, this American formation has already released a few albums we had the opportunity to discover. “Winter Solstice” brings us a majority of remixed songs. Nearly all remixes have been executed by D. Navratil himself. The more you enter the universe of this band the more you realize that nearly all is turning around the frontman. He is for sure the leading force behind the band. Musical wise Destination:Oblivion brings a kind of crossover style, which seems to be mainly inspired through M. Manson. The mix of guitars and electronics can be now a bit gothic-like, but mainly evolve into harder, dark pieces. The “Intellitrons Wild Imagination Mix” of “Unimaginable” by Ian Simpson (and not by D. Navratil) is the single high light of this album. It sounds a bit more electro-like and complex while a deep bass line reinforces the song. The vocals of D. Navratil are processed with a vocoder effect, which totally fits to the mood of this song. The other songs left aren’t bad at all, but can’t totally convince because of a lack of real climax.
