Here comes a dvd of Destination:Oblivion featuring the band on stage at ‘The Roseland Theater’ in Portland. The gig took place in July 2007. Next to the live songs we also get some extra’s like ‘behind the scenes’ (featuring interviews, soundcheck etc), clips and pictures. It all sounds a bit like this band is already famous and world-wide recognized, but watching the live-show you rapidly realize they played in front of a couple of people. The show itself is a bit too static because of singer and frontman Dennis Navratil is standing almost the entire show behind his keyboard. The songs are a melting pot of their releases, but once again less high lights have been noticed! The quality of the video is quite well done and for sure deserves respect! The clips are quite cliché, but well-executed while the influence of M. Manson here appears in the global image of the band (which on the “Hardwired”-clip is simply represented by D. Navratil). The interviews and other material are interesting for those who want to know a bit more about the band, but they’re a bit over the top for a band who’s rather unknown. The input level of the frontman seems a bit too exaggerated in my opinion while some extra artistic and musical input could be a good point. One thing is sure, Destination:Oblivion doesn’t spare any effort to promote themselves and that’s a real positive element!
