Disharmony, hailing from Slovakia, probably became one of the most promising projects from the former East-Europe having already released some notable songs. On “Cloned” they bring a collection of well-crafted remixes they made for different bands. As a bonus “Cloned” also delivers 3 new songs. The “Suspection”-song is one definitely worthy of examination. It reminds me a bit of Forma Tadre for the spooky and mysterious electronic sound featuring female vocals and elaborated sound sculptures. Another noticeable new song is the “Earth”-cut they did with Sara Noxx. The remixes are an impressive list of cool songs proving that Disharmony really take their time to get a fascinating result…often better than the original versions. They mostly reveal a spooky, ambient touch with well-crafted arrangements and enlightening sounds. “Stir Up The Dust” from Anhedonia is a first master cut for the mix of harsh and decomposed beats. The “Apocalypse”-cut from Pecadores is one of the absolute masterpieces of this collection. It reminds me of the intelligence in sound and style from Lassigue Bendthaus and that’s more than a simple reference! Some of the essential cuts are the “Bar Code”-remix of Flint Glass bringing some similitude with the English Jericho One. The “Immortal”-remix they made for Deadjump reminds me of the glorious days of Mentallo & The Fixer while the “Like Falling Crystals” they remixed for Stendeck is quite space-like. It’s one of the most noticeable remix-albums I heard in many years!
