Rise Ad Fall Of A Decade - Yesterday, Today And Tomorrow / 1987-2007 Anthology (cd Intuition Records)

Industrial Music CDs at Storming The Base

French band Rise And Fall Of A Decade have been in the dark scene for almost two decades with a large hiatus that most of us listeners though to be the end of the band. Thierry Sintoni, Pierre-François Maurin-Malet and Sandy Casado have always managed to find their own cold wave-ish dark pop sounding compositions in a world of uniform music, so their announced return in 2005 came as a great surprise. But sad news followed last year, for the singer and text writer, François, died at the age of 41. The remaining members have decided to re-release all the old, and some pretty difficult to find, material. Yet right before that decision, they had already brought out this anthology through Intuition. For those that already have the records, it will have no allure: it doesn’t include any special material that isn’t already in an album, but there're 6 hard to find tracks and one new song! Nonetheless, this Anthology is a good collection of dark pop, sometimes almost heavenly voices, very cinematographic, good music for anyone that would like to discover Rise And Fall Of A Decade now.
