There�re very few albums that will stand the test of time; "That total age", "Fit for flogging", "Caustic grip" most recently "Everybody hates you" and now add �Syncope� from TS. The cd starts off with a kick in your face by the title track "Syncope", which has a great warped synthline and a harsh bassline. All the tracks on this cd are great so I will attempt to list the most outstanding tracks. "Dark skies" hits you with the typical TS sound we have grown accustomed to and love. We�ve all heard "Awaken the ghost" on various compilations for the past six months and if you liked that teaser you are going to really enjoy the final tweaked version. "Bring me violence" has a great danceable beat, a great synthline in the beginning and nice runs, synths and basslines throughout as well as great high and low points. Another track that is a swift kick in the teeth is "Not going to work that way", this track is a fast murderous rampage and again has some great high and low parts to the track with great synthlines and synth stabs. There are some great tracks to accompany a pure white road rage, "4 steps to dysfunction" is a slower track with great sound clips, and great lyrics for when you like to take some time on your victims... the chorus also has a counting part for the east coast Americans that enjoy counting as they dance. With another quick belt to the windpipe "Not entertained" hits you back around 140 and is great for pure dancefloor aggression. The last track "Your fired" starts with a funky sound clip, then the synths and kick pound in and make anybody's body wanna move to the dancefloor, a part of the soundclip is almost used as a synth stab as it chants "Fired", this song also has great high and low points, a good synth build up as if it were some demonic trance track, so stomp your feet and shake your fists you're all fired! The bonus disc contains 8 more songs and all have been previously unreleased. The good new is that these songs aren�t just fillers, but damned good tracks as well. Here again TS illustrates to be a master in writing dark electronics. This disc also contains some wallpapers and a screensaver. This is a must have for the fans! (DJ23:9 DP:8/9)DJ23.
