Sturm Cafe - So selisch, so schön! (cd Progress Productions)Posted on 11/04/06
Get ready for a new and maybe the ultimate pure EBM cloning of DAF, Nitzer Ebb and other Pouppée Fabrikk! The debut-CD of the Swedish SC-duo is a pure emulation of these legendary hardcore body freaks. The best exponents are for sure “Mr. T”, which is totally DAF-like and “Die Wahrheit”, which sounds like evoking the ghost of Nitzer Ebb’s “Violent playground”. One of the most surprising cuts is entitled “Die bizarre Mischung” for a kind of resemblance with early Cabaret Voltaire. This song is definitely more original, but it’s clear that SC voluntary avoids any form of originality, preferring to make the music they like! After Dupont, Restricted Area, Spetznaz and Militant Chearleaders On The Move here comes a new ambassador of the golden age EBM that belongs to Nitzer Ebb, DAF and co.! (DP:7)DP.
