Culture Kultur - Reborn (cd Out Of Line)Posted on 14/12/05
It took nearly 3 years to the Spanish CK to release a new opus. “Reborn” goes on the same basis of their previous work, but becomes definitely harder and trance-minded. The opening song “Distress call” is a very good illustration of their evolution in sound and influences. The futurepop influence is still present, but the sound evolves into harder EBM fields. Songs like “Analyst”, “The only one”, “Time wave” and “Glimpse” are a few examples of their modern electronic style, which accentuates the trance-techno carrying melody lines. You can easily recognize the style of CK, but they finally joined a point where their sound becomes more personal than ever before. I always supported this band, but they now finally gained in maturity writing the album that now must serve as reference to their sound! It will be however a hard challenge in times of dark EBM supremacy! This album gets my full support! (DP:8)DP.

to me this album is one of the best of 2005, it sounds very lear and it even reminds me (as far as the vocals are concerned) of early eighties electronics if you like covenant assemblage23 this is one for you!
