Non-Bio – The Game (CD EP – Non-Bio)
Content: Non-Bio is a British project I first discovered on the very interesting sampler “This Is What We Call British Industrial”. This 4-track EP is an opportunity to get a bit more about this project.
The title song reveals an electronic approach driven by a cool rhythms and a few guitar sounds. There’s a cool effect on top of the vocals while the song is also empowered by samplings. The last song of this EP is the “X-Kin Mix” of “The Game” and this version moves into technoid influences and more complex arrangements injecting an IDM-element to the release.
Both remaining tracks feature a more experimental approach in electronics. The sounds are quite manipulated while some of the vocal parts have been put in the background revealing a kind of spooky effect.
Notice by the way that this release is mainly digitally available, however there are a few limited CD-copies.
Conclusion: “The Game” mainly sounds complex and experimental. It’s not exactly the kind of music that will appeal for a wider audience, but that will possibly please a very restricted number of electro-experimental lovers.
Best songs: “The game – X-Kin Mix”.
