There's a lot of Depeche Mode covers being released lately (this one, this one). Here's one more.
What About Bill?, a side-project of Dero (frontman of OOMPH!) and Chris Wolff (producer/arranger of Guano Apes, Within Temptation, Exilia, Sub7even, Rage, Axel Rudi Pell) was launched today. Because they were arrested in Brooklyn, after urinating in public, during a short-trip in New-York, both guys had to spend a night in jail, where they took part in an open-vocal-session.
Operating from Hamburg (DE) since 2008, in traditional New-York City police uniforms, these two musicians covered a bunch of famous alternative songs in a special Jazzy way. Some of the titles that were covered are "Policy of Truth" (Depeche Mode), "The Beautiful People" (Marilyn Manson) and "Creep" (Radiohead) which also has a videoclip of it.
The band has a wide spectrum of influences including Classic Swing, 40’s and 50’s Jazz, Rock, Crossover, 90’s Grunge and some Metal. More songs and videoclips are about to be released in the near future and be sure to watch out for this band to play at your local sauna, pornshack or prison.
You can hear "Policy of Truth" and watch "Creep" after the jump. You can find the band on Facebook.
