PA Tronic release debut album that was 28 years in the makingPosted on 20/08/12
Here's a nice story from PA Tronic, a duo from Uppsala, Sweden, consisting of childhood mates Anders Wågberg and Patric Dimander. They formed the band during their teens and played live here and there in schools and leisure centers. This was during the years 1983-85. Back then the duo also started working on a first album.
But life went on, there were other bands, projects, jobs, families and children and the band didn't finish the album. The songs they had recorded started gathering dust for nearly 30 years before Patric and Anders during a visit to the Arvika Festival 2010 decided that they would record the album after all.
The band purchased the same synths they had been working with in the past and finished the job. After 2 years the album is now finished. "Fill your head with PA Tronic" holds 10 songs that sound exactly like the band intended them to sound all those years a go.
If you like the Swedish synth pop scene, and especially Page, Sista mannen på jorden or Familjen, you should enjoy this release quite a lot.
The release can be purchased on iTunes. You can also listen to the album track "Ute På Vift" on our Spotify playlist.
And if you are a scandinavian you probably know the band already from the Page tribute "Tiden Går - En Hyllning Till Page" which was released in 2010.
