New Charles Manson vinyl album, 'Songs From The Sick City'Posted on 09/08/12
Out via New Era Productions / Neue Aesthetik is a brand new Charles Manson vinyl album. "Songs From The Sick City" features the 1967 studio sessions, remastered in Switzerland in 2011. Expect some really strange psychedelic folk music / weird psych freakouts from the leader of "The Family" cult.
The release is limited to 500 copies with printed inner sleeve. You can buy it right here.
In case you wondered, Manson receives no payments or royalties from any music recording that have been distributed by various persons over the years. With the passing of the 'Son Of Sam' law, it is illegal for killers to profit financially from their crimes. The term "Son of Sam" refers to the nickname of serial killer David Berkowitz, the subject of a notorious 1978 murder case.
As a result of said law all Manson income must be turned over to one of the surviving sons of one of many murder victims. How perverse it is, the more this vinyl sells, the more the victims will get.
In the past the label of Guns 'n' Roses, Geffen Records, paid a certain Frykowski $62,000 for every million copies of the album, "The Spaghetti Incident?" that were sold because the Manson's song "Look at Your Game, Girl" appeared on the album. Frykowski was 10 when his father, Voytek Frykowski, and 4 others were killed in 1969 - he later on committed suicide.
