Out on August 14 via Metropolis Records is the newest Twitch The Ripper album "Colorblind", the follow-up to their self-released 2011 album "Bodiless". The Connecticut based synth-pop duo had their newest album produced and mixed by Mark Saunders (The Cure, Siouxsie and The Banshees, Shiny Toy Guns, Erasure, A-ha).
Says Dobyns: "I have always wanted to work with Mark because of his work with some of my favorite bands like Erasure, The Cure, The Human League, and Cyndi Lauper. We had some roughs of the Colorblind songs, and I thought, at the very least, it could be something he might appreciate because of the 80's new wave/dance influence. I reached out to him and right away received word that he was interested and we began from there. Mark really knew what we were trying to achieve with the album and he really hit the nail on the head regarding the production and mix."
The duo are currently streaming their first new single, "Strange Behavior" on their website now (or below here on Side-Line).
Fans of Elegant Machinery should love this material quite a lot.
