Robert Smith (The Cure) scores: 'The British monarchy are fucking idiots'

A 15 minute interview the french website Télérama.fr had with Robert Smith (The Cure) will stir things for The Cure royalists worldwide, and more precisely in the UK. During the interview Robert Smith can be heard saying "They (the British monarchy) have never done anything (...) Fucking idiots". The quote has in one second erased every chance that Smith will be knighted by the Queen. Not that it's particularly something to be proud of, the knighting that is.
Let's see what other musician will dare saying things so bluntly. There is of course always the chance that Smith never thought the quote would come out via an interview with a French medium. With the internet everything is possible of course these days, so we are confident Smith is a true Republican, in the European sense of the word.
