Since 2005 the yearly Amphi Festival is held, first it was located in Gelsenkirchen (DE), since 2006 it takes place in Cologne - Tanzbrunnen (DE). It's a 2-day festival which is especially focused towards the fans of electro, ebm, future pop, synth rock, alternative rock, medieval, Neue Deutsche Haerte, gothic rock, etc.
Last year there were about 16.000 visitors.
This year the line-up features bands like The Sisters Of Mercy, Eisbrecher, Apoptygma Berzerk, DAF, Haujobb, Blutengel, Project Pitchfork, And One, Corvus Corax, Assemblage 23, Tyske Ludder, ... There are 2 stages and a lot of additional features like the beautiful theatre (location for the aftershow parties) and a 3.000 square meter beach on the shores of the Rhine river.
Doors will open at noon, tickets can be ordered here.
