Meet the Egyptian electro clash outfit: Wetrobots <3 Bosaina - free EP downloadPosted on 25/04/12
From Cairo, Egypt hails Wetrobots <3 Bosaina. The project is actually the electronic DJ duo (Hussein El Sherbini & Ismail Hosny) who joined up with female singer Bosaina II. And Bosaina II is well, quite outspoken, or as Wetrobots say: "The concept of a middle-eastern female gyrating and cursing on stage is practically unheard of in the region." The result is an EP, "Bang and blow".

Wetrobots <3 Bosaina started in 2010 as an electropop project and later evolved into a darker more electro clash sound. After the local underground music magazine Discord Magazine launched the band was able to release their new EP during the magazine's first event "Wake & Bake".
As it seems Cairo has a very underground electronic music scene and is quite experimental. Says Wetrobots: "The scene is currently booming, with more acts following through in the genre and sharing their music via social media and soundcloud. However there are too many DJs, not enough venues, and nobody outside the country knows of our music scene. We're hoping we can change that by gigging wherever anyone will take us, and really separate ourselves via our energetic live gigs."
