Paul Hickey, the manager of Erasure's Andy Bell, and - for many years - his partner, died on Wednessday afternoon after a long battle with illness. He was only 62. At Side-Line we had been in touch with Paul several times concerning the book he published last year about his life so far (see our article Book from manager (and ex-partner) Erasure's Andy Bell, Paul Hickey, out now). The book includes lots about Andy Bell and Erasure and was titled "Sometimes - A Life of Love, Loss & Erasure" and is actually a good read - get it here if you want to know some more on Paul.
Paul contacted us just a few weeks ago regarding some further promotion on his book, little did we know that his life would end so soon. We want to wish Paul's family and close friends a lot of strength in these difficult times.
Rest in peace Paul, you'll be missed.
