4 re-issues for Kate Bush in the pipelinePosted on 24/01/11
4 Kate Bush albums are expected to be re-issued this year. Included in the package will be "The Dreaming", "Hounds Of Love", "The Sensual World" and "The Red Shoes". All of these albums were originally released on EMI between 1982 and 1993. The re-issues will be released on a further to be defined label with former EMI and PolyGram executive David Munns acting as a consultant to the singer. Munns has been working with Bush when she was first signed to EMI and released her first album "The Kick Inside" in 1978.
A new album is not yet announced. It would be the first new studio album from Bush since "Aerial" (2005). In late 2007, Bush composed and recorded a new song, "Lyra", for the soundtrack to the fantasy film "The Golden Compass".
Kate Bush (born Catherine Bush 30 July 1958) is an English singer-songwriter, musician and record producer. Her eclectic musical style and idiosyncratic vocal style have made her one of the United
Kingdom's most successful solo female performers of the past 30 years. Bush was signed by EMI at the age of 16 after being recommended by Pink Floyd's David Gilmour.
Bush released her debut "The Kick Inside" when she was 19 years old, but some of the songs had been written when she was as young as 13.
