Side-Line has been contacted quite a few time in the last days concerning the canceled US tour by Echo And The Bunnymen. The news is indeed correct. The band blames tax problems for the decision to cancel the complete tour. Apparently the band forgot that a fee is triggered if a foreign band tours the US more than once in 30 days. Since the band played a one-off gig in New York last month their tour - which was about to start on November 15 in Atlanta - the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) ruled the band would have to pay a fee to tour the US. Which is a normal procedure is being explained by the management of Echo And The Bunnymen as "unreasonable demands presented by the IRS for the band to enter the USA to tour".
