Alfa Matrix has announced the signing of no less than 5 new bands to their label. Joining the electro family from Brussels are the following bands: Kant Kino (NO), Komor Kommando (NO), Mesmer's Eyes (FR), Schwarzblut (HOL) and Virgins O.R. Pigeons (GR). Here's a round-up of what you may expect:
- Kant Kino: It's in late 2008 that Lars & Kenneth, 2 experienced underground musicians from the Norwegian EBM / industrial scene, unite their talents without being aware that in only a few months they would share the stage with FRONT 242 and APOPTYGMA BERZERK, be featured on several high profile compilations, and end up signing to Alfa Matrix. Expect a mix of the distorted force of the 90's dark elektro genre into their strong 80's EBM roots resulting in dark body music with distorted vocals and a strong sense for melody. - Komor Kommando: Komor Kommando is noone else than Sebastian R. Komor. After his success with ZOMBIE GIRL, ICON OF COIL or yet BRUDERSCHAFT, renown producer Sebastian R. Komor strikes again with his new hard-hitting guerrilla project – something he really had to get out of his system. Komor Kommando is without any doubt the heaviest project he's ever done. 100% club hit guaranteed – including the floor-packing "Das Oontz", "Love Your Neighbour" or yet "Triggerfinger". MySpace: www.myspace.com/komorkommando
- Mesmer's Eyes: Raised in the tumultuous and dark suburbs of Paris, French artist Cedric B. managed to transcribe the intensity of his violent surroundings into captivating breathtaking dark electronic arrangements. Often described by many as one of the most awesome and promising unsigned dark elektro bands. In 2009, on Alfa Matrix, one of the most mature debut albums ever released on the underground electronic scene will become reality. The dark elektro revelation of 2009. - Schwarzblut: Dutch act Schwarzblut brings a mix of pounding EBM/industrial and lush orchestral arrangements with German lyrical poetry from Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Ludwig Tieck or Friedrich Rückert. Their 5-track debut EP "Sehlenwolf" is out now on Alfa Matrix and acts as a teaser for what you may expect on their full length debut album "Das Mausoleum". MySpace: www.myspace.com/schwarzblut1
- Virgins O.R. Pigeons: The debut album "Place No Reliance" from this Greek act was aptly described as "a manifesto for the masses, a sinister antidote for your spiritual decadence" and caught the attention of the dark elektro crowds worldwide including a strong welcome by the Japanese scene thanks to their image approach related to some extent to the Japanese "Visual Kei" movement. Their songs range from frenzic aggressive EBM to down-tempo. In 2009, the Greek trio signed to Alfa Matrix for the release of their follow-up cd "Gotta get mad" which reveals a more experimental and straight-in-your-face sonic concept.
