March release for Left Spine Down's 'Voltage 2.3: Remixed and Revisited'Posted on 26/02/09
Vancouver's cyberpunk outfit Left Spine Down gears up once again to unleash their chaotic electronic fueled rock on the world with their new release "Voltage 2.3: Remixed and Revisited" on record label Synthetic Sounds distributed by Sonic Unyon. The album features remix tracks from the likes of KMFDM, The Birthday Massacre, Combichrist, Download, Tim Skold, The Revolting Cocks,16 Volt and many more. The physical album will contain remixes from several artists along with the work by remix-contest winner, Spain's DJ Led Manville. Remixed will be several songs found on their debut full length "Fighting For Voltage" which was released under Vancouver label Synthetic Sounds in 2008.
The band also decided to throw in a cover of Nirvana's "Territorial Pissings" and Joy Division's "She's Lost Control". Together with producer Greg Reely (Fear Factory / Sarah McLachlan / Delerium / Front Line Assembly) the band recorded the brand new song "Welcome to the Future". The release is scheduled for release on March 3rd. Left Spine Down also plan the release of a secondary multimedia USB unit which will include music videos, never seen before footage, photos and several dozen more remixes from friends and fans alike. This is slated to be released not too long after the physical CD form.
