In a press statement yesterday, U2 have confirmed that they will not be bringing forward the release date of their new album "How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb" despite the material leaking online. Earlier however singer Bono said that a leak of the album would make the band consider bringing forward the release, possibly via iTunes. A copy of the CD went missing during a photoshoot in France earlier in the year and since then both the band and its label Island/Interscope have done everything possible to keep the album from leaking online. But even old fashionned audio cassettes and listening sessions instead of promo CD's, tagged promo CD's, etc. couldn't prevent the material from ending up on the net. In related band news, the tabloid press has reported that U2 drummer Larry Mullen is considering leaving the Irish band to become an actor. More news as we get it. Below you can already pre-order the "How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb" in a limited edition with a bonus-DVD.
