The 1998 classic Muslimgauze 1000-copy subscription-series release "Mullah Said" has been repressed. The release concentrates on the softer side of Muslimgauze. You may expect a 50-minute suite of prime Muslimgauze middle eastern ambience. The percussion on this release is mainly acoustic hand drums, plus lots of samples of people speaking in conversation, markets wherever. To be released on Staalplaat by November 3rd. Muslimgauze was the one-man musical project of Bryn Jones (June 17, 1961–January 14, 1999), a prolific British electronic-music artist, strongly influenced by everything to do with the Middle East and South Asia. Strongly opposed to the use of computers and samplers in music, Jones always recorded his music with old analog equipment, but never with equipment from the United States or Japan.
