Chris Piper, Nitzer Ebb's first producer and manager, has released early live video material (from around 1984) of Nitzer Ebb playing such rare songs as "Faded Smiles" and "Shade of Pale" on YouTube. Both tracks were filmed during one of Nitzer Ebbs first gigs in Romford England. "Faded Smiles" was originally on the demo tape "Basic Pain Procedure" (1983) which was produced by Piper. From this demo (which can be streamed right here) only "Crane" appeared on a later record. "Shade of Pale" on the other hand apparently would only have been played once by the band and it is his one time experience that is now available. Chris Piper who also ran Power of Voice Communication, the band's first label, left the band just before the big break through for Nitzer Ebb.
