4 editors at Side-Line briefly gave their view on the newest album of Miss Kittin: "Batbox", out on her own imprint Nobody’s Bizzness. Here's what our jury had to say:
- "Batbox" is an excellent come back for Miss Kittin! After a rather deceiving first release, she here delivers a modern piece of electronics where electroclash- and dance elements have been merged together. This album features a few great songs with “Metalhead” as my personal favorite one!

- As I had the feeling her debut album sounded totally incoherent, this release offers more cohesion. A handful of dance floor friendly four to four tracks to be found here, but the calmer parts are worth mentioning as well. Don’t expect complex rhythms and sounds, but a solid diverse electroclash album.

- As it is the case with me for most Miss Kittin release, I rapidly become bored by such old school electronic tunes. I know this is called electroclash and that she is undoubtedly one of the leaders of such hype but I can't stand it when it's really too simple and without much surprise. One or two songs can be fun but a whole album is really too much so I can’t help, but skipping the songs. Not at all my cup of tea but fans of this kind of new electronic sound will appreciate or even cherish such release.
(CF:5/6)CF.
- Although not that well received by the mainstream press for being not innovating enough, I feel that or the first time in her career she has been able catching all the essential elements in her work without loosing perspective, something that was the case with her debut for instance where an unsure diversity was wrongly understood as artfully versatility. I feel that Miss Kittin here has maintained a steady control where she plays with the electronics and not the other way round. Excellent release and no better entry card to her work.
