LCD Soundsystem records track for NikePosted on 17/09/07
LCD Soundsystem have recorded the 'workout' song "45:33" as commissioned by Nike. The track will be released as a single on November 14 and will feature bonus tracks, including the over 12-minute "Freak Out"/"Starry Eyes", "Hippie Priest Bum Out" and the ONastic Dub Remix of "North American Scum". The band are also ready to release the new EP "A Bunch Of Stuff" on November 19. But before all this, frontman James Murphy and Pat Mahoney are set to release their installment of "Fabriclive" on October 15th. A US releasedate is set for November 20th. For collectors, a limited edition 7" single has been pressed up for the LCD/Arcade Fire tour. Copies of the record will be available at the shows and the LCD Soundsystem/Arcade Fire websites. The LCD side is a cover of Joy Division's "No love lost" while the Arcade Fire side is a cover of Serge Gainsbourg's "Poupee de cire".
